Tender Engineer
About the job
As a Tender Engineer, you will be the link between our commercial team and the execution of controlled drilling and microtunnelling projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost calculations and submitting competitive tenders. Thanks to your work, we help our clients in infrastructure, utilities and industry to find sustainable, efficient and technically sophisticated drilling solutions.
Some of your duties include:
- Tender dossier preparation & calculation
- Prepare accurate cost estimates (materials, labour, subcontractors, transport, etc.)
- Analysing project specifications, specifications and technical drawings
- Drawing up and following up offers
- Compare market prices & internal standards
- Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors
- Timely submission of offers and follow-up
- Intensive coordination with project managers, engineers and implementation teams
- Identify risks and propose cost savings
- Keeping abreast of market developments and innovative drilling technologies
Your profile
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related.
- Experience as an estimator or tender officer in the construction or infrastructure sector is a plus (added advantage: directional drilling/tunnelling).
- Hands-on with calculation software and affinity with IT systems.
- Analytically strong, numerical understanding and an eye for technical details.
- Enterprising, proactive and results-oriented.
- Communication skills and team player.

About the company
K-Boringen, a high-performance and solution-oriented company for pipe jacking and microtunnelling throughout Europe. We drill pipes and tunnels with diameters of up to 4 metres and lengths of over 1.5 kilometres. We do this for the supply and drainage of water and gas or as a conduit for cables and pipelines where open-trench installation is not an option, such as under buildings, waterways, railways or under the seabed and even through hard rock such as Swiss mountains.
