Tunnel drilling project manager

About the job

APK Group is currently looking for a Drilling Project Manager. In this role, you will take day-to-day charge at our sites and ensure that each project is carried out technically, organisationally and safely. You will manage teams, monitor schedules and work closely with various internal and external partners.

Some of your duties include:

Coordinate site layout (entrances, signs, signage, safety, site container, etc.).
Preparing the start-up of new projects based on the site file.
Analyse plans, specifications and implementation files.
Scheduling of equipment, materials and personnel.
Manage workers and subcontractors, focusing on efficiency and risk management.
Monitor progress, quality and safety on site.
Yield monitoring: ensuring correct and timely execution according to schedule and monitoring hourly gross margin.
Follow up daily reports (hours worked), requisition statements and delivery notes.
Keeping track of unforeseen works (including via photos), staff planning and material supply.
Report to the customer manager.
Monitor and manage quality, safety and environmental aspects.
Organising toolbox meetings and risk assessments in consultation with the prevention advisor.

Your profile

Bachelor's or master's degree in construction engineering, industrial sciences or equivalent through experience.
Min 2 years of relevant experience.
Good knowledge of Dutch or French.
In possession of driving licence B.
Valid VOL-VCA certificate or willing to obtain it.
Interest in and affinity with the industry (construction, telecoms, infrastructure, landscaping).
No 9-to-5 mentality.

About the company

K-Boringen, a high-performance and solution-oriented company for pipe jacking and microtunnelling throughout Europe. We drill pipes and tunnels with diameters of up to 4 metres and lengths of over 1.5 kilometres. We do this for the supply and drainage of water and gas or as a conduit for cables and pipelines where open-trench installation is not an option, such as under buildings, waterways, railways or under the seabed and even through hard rock such as Swiss mountains.
