About the job

As a prevention advisor, you are jointly responsible for implementing safety procedures so that every employee can return home in the same state they left in the morning. You provide professional advice to ensure the organisation complies with all aspects of the wellbeing act and Codex. You will assist production in identifying and rectifying risks present on the worksites. In the event of a workplace accident, you will investigate the causes, write a comprehensive report and recommendations, and inform all essential parties.

Some of your duties include:

 

  • You are jointly responsible for continuing implementing and safeguarding the entire safety policy From APK.
  • You will help to further develop safety systems in the company.
  • You will coach managers and employees on welfare, health and safety issues.
  • You will collaborate on. toolbox meetings, safety meetings; where you raise awareness among direct employees about the importance of a sound prevention policy.
  • As a prevention consultant, you are regular presence on the shop floor, in the warehouses and yards to monitor safety.
  • You will ensure that legislation on prevention, safety and well-being at work is properly followed and applied.
  • Your identifies and analyses risks, translates them into actions and measures and prepares global prevention plans, annual action plan and annual reports.
  • You will investigate, report and advise on the prevention of occupational accidents and incidents.
  • You are prepared to conduct safety training, education and information sessions.

Your profile

  • Prev. Level 2 Diploma
  • Constructive collaboration with authorities via site meetings, incident reporting and traffic coordination.
  • Coordinating permits, signage, and disruption mitigation with municipal services and local police.
  • Knowledge of Belgian building regulations.Insight into the Codex, applied to construction environments.
  • Knowledge of KB Temporary and Mobile Construction Sites (TMB) and the roles of client, coordinator and contractor.
  • Understanding of signalling and traffic control according to the Royal Decree of 7 May 1999 and relevant guidelines (MOW, AWV).
  • Insight into Ground and Foundation Legislation, stability requirements and risks for construction pits and sheeting.
  • Knowledge of Environmental and ecological aspects On construction sites: soil, waste streams, emissions, noise, vibrations.
