About the job
As Finance Business Partner, you are the COO's financial right-hand man and the point of contact for the Business Unit Controller. You take full responsibility for the financial and administrative monitoring of a segment within the Business Unit. Thanks to your insights and analyses, you support operational and strategic decision-making and contribute to the further growth and optimisation of the organisation.
Some of your duties include:
- Monthly financial planning, looking critically at reported figures from the various business units.
- Responsible for monthly reporting from various departments.
- Coaching role in finance for junior project managers, to guide them in reporting and net working capital management.
- Performing ad-hoc analyses and finding explanations for any discrepancies.
- Preparing the month-end closing for team leaders, including various audit work on reported versus invoiced amounts and adjusting processes where necessary.
- Management of various Power BI reports for team leaders, including communication with IT department for any report adjustments and initiating pricing changes.
- Critical review and monitoring to ensure reports are transferred from test environment to production without error.
- Financial point of contact for our clients regarding processes and reporting.
Your profile
- You have a master's degree in an economics subject, preferably TEW or commercial engineering with a specialisation in finance, or you have at least several years' experience in a finance function.
- You have strong analytical skills and are able to solve problems.
- Preferably several years' experience in a similar role.
- You are bilingual; you can express yourself fluently in French and Dutch.
- Excellent social skills and ability to provide constructive feedback.
- You are able to work independently but also collaborate effectively and spar with colleagues.
- You have a drive to contribute to the growth and efficiency of the organisation.
