As a Clerk within Departmental Administration, your role is focused on the day-to-day administrative support of a department within the organisation. You will ensure the efficient operation of the department as a whole, including personnel administration and internal processes. You are the first point of contact for the personnel department and for employees within the department.

Some of your duties include:

  • You will provide support to the department and report to the Business Unit Manager.
  • Follow up and register purchases, order and delivery notes and invoices specific to the department.
  • Personnel administration: monitoring and recording leave requests, internal training, sick certificates, hours worked (daily reports) ,...
  • Training: good communication with the training facility and project leaders around training and ensure correct recording.
  • Scheduling customer-focused training, applying for grants where applicable.
  • General administration: Managing the stock and orders of office supplies.
  • Processing and archiving incoming and outgoing documents (internal mail distribution), reception, answering e-mails and telephone.
  • Keeping up-to date personnel records, environmental documents, databases, waste register or other systems/files useful within the department, among others.
