As a purchaser, you’ll ensure our projects run smoothly by selecting the right materials, services, and partners, and by negotiating strongly, carefully balancing budget, quality, and timing. Some of your duties include:

  • Carrying out operational and commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Thorough analysis, comparison and evaluation of quotations (prices, terms, risks, TCO...).
  • Drafting and coordinating technical datasheets for approval by internal stakeholders.
  • Drafting framework agreements with a focus on TCO, quality, delivery reliability and risk management.
  • To oversee correct adherence to contracts and to follow up on agreements, performances, and deliveries.

Your profile

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in an economic, technical, or engineering discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of the construction and infrastructure sector.
  • At least 8–10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Analytical and commercial insight; can critically evaluate quotations.
  • Experience with purchasing processes, digital purchasing tools, and ERP systems.
  • Cost-conscious, results-oriented and able to make independent decisions.
  • Knowledge of the market for materials, suppliers and subcontractors in construction & civil engineering is a plus.
  • Languages: Dutch + good foundation in French (spoken and written); German is a plus.
  • Communicatively strong, convincing, assertive yet professional, and able to defend positions.
