About the job

For our K-Boringen branch, we are looking for an electrical engineer for tunnelling projects.

Some of your duties include:

  • Standing in for the maintenance, the repair and the depannage of all kinds of yard machinery (tunnel boring machines, PLC controls, variable speed drives, power groups, pumps, ...)
  • Preparing yardsn in terms of composition, cabling and sizing
  • Electrical installations at construction sites connecting, checking and starting up
  • Assembling electrical cabinets and controls
  • Picking out the necessary materials and develop new systems

Your profile

  • Technically skilled, preferably at bachelor level
  • Pronounced interest and understanding of machine technology (electricity, automation and
    electromechanics)
  • Relevant experience in assembling, wiring and installing electrical cabinets and installations on construction sites
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ambition to develop further in a role with a lot of responsibility for the technical start-up and continuity of projects
  • Fancy a local steady job with occasional short international trips to shipyards in Europe

About the company

K-Boringen, a high-performance and solution-oriented company for pipe jacking and microtunnelling throughout Europe. We drill pipes and tunnels with diameters of up to 4 metres and lengths of over 1.5 kilometres. We do this for the supply and drainage of water and gas or as a conduit for cables and pipelines where open-trench installation is not an option, such as under buildings, waterways, railways or under the seabed and even through hard rock such as Swiss mountains.
